Quick Registration

When you arrive, we'll get your basic information and insurance details (if you have coverage). This takes just a few minutes. We know you're not feeling well, so we keep this part brief. If you're in significant discomfort, let us know and we'll prioritise getting you into an exam room.

Initial Assessment

One of our nurses will check your vital signs including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and oxygen levels. We'll ask about your symptoms: when they started, what they feel like, what makes them better or worse, and any relevant medical history. This helps us understand what's happening and what testing might be needed. We're listening carefully, not rushing you through a checklist.

Evaluation & Testing

Based on your symptoms, our medical team will perform a thorough examination. Depending on what's happening, we may conduct blood work, or other diagnostic testing. Everything is available right here on-site, so there's no waiting for outside labs or being sent elsewhere for tests. If you're experiencing chest pain or heart-related symptoms, we have complete cardiac diagnostic capabilities immediately available.

Treatment & Next Steps

Once we understand what's causing your symptoms, we'll discuss treatment options with you and provide any necessary medication or intervention. Before you leave, you'll have clear answers: what's happening with your health, what we've ruled out, what treatment you're receiving, and specific instructions about what to do at home. If follow-up care is needed, we'll explain when and why. If your symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, we'll tell you exactly when to return or when to go to hospital emergency instead. You won't leave with unanswered questions.

If Overnight Monitoring Is Recommended

If your evaluation shows you need extended cardiac observation, we have overnight monitoring capabilities right here at Hope & Grace with 24/7 nursing care, continuous heart monitoring, and private rooms available. We'll explain why overnight monitoring is recommended, what it involves, and ensure you're comfortable with the plan before proceeding.
